چکیده

Background: Uveitis is the most common extra-articular manifestation of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA). Usually uveitis developed during first two years after occurred [1]. In previous studies was shown shorter time interval between and severe course observed [2]. Information about before scarce. Objectives: We aimed to evaluate clinical features therapy JIA-associated uveitis, which joint manifestation. Methods: retrospective study 191 pediatric autoimmune included. The onset age ranged from 1 17 years. evaluated differences in clinical, laboratorial treatment groups, i) where (n=58) ii) (n=133) arthritis. Chronic without manifestations excluded. Results: Uveitits 58 (30.4%) cases. Patients whom had were elder characterized equal gender involvement, rare ANA positivity, use immunosupression, e.g. corticosteroids, biologics methotrexate, due by ophthalmologist predominantly. received earlier severity (LogRank test, p=0.016, HR=1.97 (95%CI: 1.3; 3.1, p=0.004). Data are Table Figure 1. Conclusion: with JIA associated initial ocular presentation demonstrated more delayed diagnostics lack contacts rheumatologist. Cooperation rheumatologist strictly required all cases chronic anterior uveitis. KIR-HLA class I combinations in JIA-associated uveitis

Purpose HLA class I-specific killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIR) gene and HLA gene combinations have been associated with autoimmune uveitis (e.g., birdshot chorioretinopathy (BCR) and Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada syndrome (VKH)). In oligoarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), uveitis is one of the most serious complications, affecting approximately 20% of patients. Multiple studies...

Are There Any Differences in Seismic Performance Evaluation Criteria for Concrete Arch Dams?

Differences between stress-based and strain-based criteria are investigated in seismic performance evaluation of the arch dams in time domain. A numerical model of the coupled dam-reservoir-foundation system is prepared with the finite element technique. Reservoir is modeled using the Eulerian approach as a compressible domain, and the foundation rock is assumed to be massless. Dynamic equilibr...

Atlanto-axial joint involvement as exclusive manifestation of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA).

Sirs, Non-traumatic anteroposterior atlanto-axial subluxation (AAS) has already been described in different rheumatic settings such as rheumatoid arthritis (1) and ankylosing spondylitis (2). Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is the most common inflammatory rheumatic disease in childhood and rarely involves the cervical spine at onset especially in children with polyarticular course (3). In t...
